hmmmm

This is my first blog and I have no freaking idea why I wanted to have cause I again have no idea what I want to write. I guess I am here because having a blog is in fashion these days. Exploiting freedom of speech even though everything that`s gonna come out is just full of BS.

I want to start by saying how I feel today. With lots happening regarding the upcoming Beijing Olympics, with the world population having mixed feelings about. It`s like another US presidential nomination. With 40/40% on both side and 20% undecided. Pro Tibet, for freedom, pro human rights and activists feel strongly about boycotting the Opening Ceremony if not the whole Olympics, while Pro China, pro communist and many who just think Olympics should be free of politics make the other half and supports Beijing Olympics and will not question their conscience regarding the moral and principle of what Olympics stands for.

Many athletes and pro-sports/game people feel that it is unfair for these athletes that they should pay the price for what China did to minorities, Darfur, Burma, Vietnam, Thailand, Taiwan…and the list goes on. And I understand their concerns and logic but what I can’t and don’t understand it that Activist, Pro Tibet and other human rights group cried our lungs out before IOC gave the game to China to host. We did letter writing campaigns, we did everything we could to possibly change their decision but IOC, China, Media or the athletes and pro game people paid no heed to those calls. Now that they feel that their source of entertainment is being taken from them, they are willing to voice against it by trading their entertainment to more future genocide of Chinese dissident, Tibetans, minorities and legitimizing the intimidation and tight grip of China of it`s people and others.

I often wonder these days what if those athletes all stood up before IOC decided to offer the hosting to China and said to IOC…”we are not going to play game if we are going to play it on Chinese soil…and these are our reasons and points them out” I wonder how would IOC hold the game if they don’t have any players…did these athletes feel responsible at the time, did they bother even for a minute about lives being lost just for this game which symbolizes unity, strength, equality, etc, etc? All of the sudden they are freaking out because it became a hindrance to their personal and professional goals. Is a personal goal  more important than thousands of Human Lives? All of the sudden Human rights activist becomes the villains because they have conscience they have to answer to.
